I’d also add “marginal data contribution” - because each user also has a range of data they are actively contributing. In this realm, Money management apps (Mint, TrueBill/Rocket)may have reached the largest scale of hybrid data sharing of any category. They combined a value-add experience (budget insights) with direct opt-in on a case by case basis (account connectors).
